CCA WIRE:  Copper Clad Aluminum Wire

Copper Clad Aluminum Wire is an electrical conductor which has an outer sleeve of copper metallurgically bonded to a solid aluminum core. The combination of these two metals make it uniquely suited to many electrical applications

Now we can supply two kinds as follow:

  1. Copper strip clad aluminum wire, 28~40% copper in weight;
  2. Copper electric plate aluminum wire, 8~10% copper in weight.

Compared to copper conductors::

  1. Higher Flexibility due to lower elastic modulus;
  2. 63% material weight reduction due to lower specific gravity of CCA over regular copper

Compared to aluminum conductors:

  1. Better corrosion resistance than aluminum due to copper layer;
  2. Lower resistance due to high electric conductivity of copper;
  3. Better Solderability;
  4. Higher strength than aluminum

Application:

  1. In high frequency signal transmission field, it is applied to:
  2. Standard Material of Conductor in CATV Coaxial Cable; 50 Ohm Radio Frequency Aerial;
  3. Leaky Cable; Soft Coaxial Radio Frequency Cable; Data Cable
  4. In power transmission field, it can be applied to:
  5. Stranded wire; Power Cable; Control Cable; automotive cable; Building distribution wire;
  6. Busbar; Radio Frequency shielding
  7. In special electromagnetic wire, it can be applied to:
  8. Coils in motor and fans, mahjong machine, Loudspeakers; Voice coils (e.g. in
  9. Headphone, Headset, …) ; Windings
